Title: Consultant (Directors Office)Reports to: DirectorEngagement type: Full-timeLocation: Bengaluru (Will be required to travel across the country)About the Role:This role puts you at the center of leadership decision-making. You will work closely with senior consultants, cross-functional teams and external partners, and gain a view of how survey , market research, politics, policy and technical products are driven at the top.Why Join Us :Leadership exposure: You will work directly with the Director and senior consultants and see how high-level decisions are made.Real impact: Your coordination and analysis will directly influence the pace and quality of priority projects.A broad network: You will build relationships across departments, partner institutions, industry and development organizations.Accelerated growth: You will develop strategic, analytical and stakeholder skills that open doors to senior roles in consulting, policy and program management.Key Responsibilities (in order of priority)Stakeholder Management and LiaisonServe as the primary point of contact for the Director's office with internal divisions, other departments, senior officials, partner agencies, industry bodies and external visitors.Build and maintain solid working relationships based on trust, responsiveness and professionalism.Manage sensitive communications diplomatically, representing the Director's office with credibility.Map key stakeholders for priority initiatives, track their inputs and concerns, and ensure timely engagement.Handle escalations and competing expectations with sound judgement,
and keep the Director informed.High-Value Meetings and Follow-ThroughPlan and coordinate review meetings, inter-departmental consultations, stakeholder consultations and engagements.Prepare agendas, briefing notes, talking points and presentations.Record crisp minutes, circulate action points promptly, and follow up until every item is closed.Time ManagementOwn the Director's calendar so that time goes first to the highest-impact priorities.Evaluate meeting requests, balance competing demands, and resolve conflicts with teams.Document Review and Advisory SupportReview files, proposals, reports and correspondence, and flag gaps, risks and inconsistencies.Distil complex documents into sharp, decision-ready briefs with clear recommendations.Draft high-quality mails, notes, speeches, presentations and responses on the Director's behalf.Project Coordination and DeliveryDrive the Director office's priority initiatives by tracking milestones, owners and deadlines through a central dashboard.Coordinate across teams, field offices, vendors and partners to unblock delays and keep work moving.Prepare progress reports and insights for leadership reviews, highlighting risks and practical solutions.Who We're Looking ForEssentialGraduate degree in any discipline; a postgraduate degree in Management, Public Policy, Public Administration or a related field is preferred.3–5 years of experience in consulting, executive support, stakeholder engagement or project coordination.DesirableExperience in a senior leader's office, or in government, PSU or development-sector settings.Familiarity with government procedures, file noting and official drafting.Exposure to project management tools and monitoring frameworks.
