We are seeking a highly experienced QA Automation Architect to lead the design, development, and continuous enhancement of our enterprise mobile test automation framework. This is a purely hands-on individual contributor role, focused on building and driving a scalable automation ecosystem across mobile platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing end-to-end mobile automation solutions, incorporating AI-powered testing capabilities, and establishing best practices for quality engineering. This position does not include people management responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning technical solutions from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Test Automation Architecture

- Design, develop, and maintain a robust mobile automation framework supporting both iOS and Android platforms.
- Build scalable automation solutions leveraging Appium, TestNG, Cucumber, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement shift-left and shift-right testing strategies to enhance quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Establish reusable automation components, coding standards, framework governance, and quality metrics.

AI-Driven Quality Engineering

- Develop and integrate AI-enabled testing capabilities to improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
- Implement AI and LLM-based solutions for automated test case generation, intelligent test execution, and mobile app validation.
- Drive innovation in areas such as visual testing, anomaly detection, behavioral change analysis, and predictive quality insights.
- Explore and implement AI-driven approaches for defect prediction, root cause analysis, and automated quality assessment.





Intelligent Automation Framework Development

- Build advanced automation capabilities including Self-healing mobile element locators
- AI-assisted test data generation
- Automated test case authoring
- Smart test maintenance and optimization
- Ensure framework scalability and maintainability across multiple applications and releases.

CI/CD & Quality Integration

- Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
- Enable continuous testing through automated quality gates and real-time reporting mechanisms.
- Support parallel execution across multiple device types, operating system versions, simulators, emulators, and cloud-based device farms.
- Ensure rapid feedback loops and measurable quality outcomes throughout the release lifecycle.

Technical Ownership & Enablement

- Serve as the subject matter expert and owner of the automation framework.
- Create technical documentation, best practices, and usage guidelines.
- Partner with engineering teams to encourage framework adoption and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical mentorship and consultation without direct people management responsibilities.

Required Experience & Skills

- 10 to 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- At least 3 to 4 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade mobile automation frameworks.
- Robust hands-on expertise in:Appium
- TestNG
- Cucumber
- GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins
- Mobile automation best practices
- Proven experience building mobile automation solutions independently from architecture through implementation.
