The
SAP BASIS Consultant will be responsible for administration, monitoring,
troubleshooting, and optimization of SAP systems across landscapes
(Development, QA, Production). The role requires strong expertise in system
copies, upgrades, performance tuning, and governance frameworks, ensuring
high availability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø System Administration

· Manage SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA environments.

· Perform installation, configuration, and patch upgrades.

Ø Performance &
Monitoring

· Monitor system health, dispatcher, and work processes.

· Conduct performance tuning and root cause analysis.

Ø System Copy &
Migration

· Execute BDLS runs, RFC checks, and post-copy automation.

· Handle OS/DB migrations and Unicode conversions.

Ø Security & Governance

· Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations.

· Ensure compliance with audit and identity governance
frameworks.

Ø Integration &
Connectivity

· Configure SSO, Fiori, and SAP Web Dispatcher.

· Maintain RFC connections and troubleshoot communication
errors.

Ø Database & Backup
Management

· Administer SAP HANA/SQL databases.

· Schedule backups and disaster recovery procedures.

Ø Transport Management

· Manage CTS/ChaRM workflows.

· Ensure smooth transport movement across landscapes.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

· 5–8 years of hands-on SAP BASIS experience.

· Solid knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, Fiori, and Cloud
ALM.

· Expertise in Linux/Windows server administration and
networking basics.

· Experience with SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and
automation.

· Experienced in 24*7 Product Support,



Daily Health Checks and
System log analysis.

· Performing daily monitoring activities like system status,
analyzing system logs, system traces, ABAP dumps, SAP System locks and Database
locks, workload analysis.

· User administration like creating and deleting users,
assigning and resetting passwords, locking and unlocking users

· Job management: Creating, scheduling background jobs and
resolving any terminated jobs.

· Checking the cancelled and long running background jobs and
troubleshooting accordingly.

· Performed system refresh from PRD to QAS and Dev boxes.

· Upgrading the kernel to the latest patch level as a part of
system maintenance.

· Applying support packages to various components to latest
level

· Extensive knowledge in administration and Troubleshooting of
Transport Management System (TMS).

· Performing transport between the development server, Quality
assurance server and Production servers.

· Experienced in Client Administration - local client copy,
remote client copy, client export, creating and deleting clients and assigning
logical systems to client.

· Performed Hana system restart and troubleshooting the issue.

· Performed Hana maintenance activities.

· SSL, SNC Certificates installation and renewal.

· Good Problem Solving, Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration.

· Pro activeness in taking up tasks, ownership and
accountability.

Nice to Have Skills

· Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, CPI, IBP, and DM.

· Exposure to identity governance tools (e.g., GRC, SailPoint).

· Excellent cross-functional collaboration with application,
integration, and business teams.
