Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Payroll Functional Experts / Payroll Specialists with strong expertise in US and Canada payroll processing. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of payroll operations, payroll legislation, tax compliance, quarter-end and year-end activities, garnishments, tax notices, reconciliations, and payroll controls. Experience supporting additional country payrolls is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- US and Canada payroll operations and client payroll processes.
- Manage and support payroll cycles, periodic activities, and client escalations.
- Lead payroll planning, governance, and ticket management discussions with clients.
- Ensure accurate execution of Quarter-End (QE) and Year-End (YE) payroll activities.
- Review payroll outputs, perform quality checks, reconciliations, and sign-offs.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues, tax notices, garnishments, and compliance-related queries.
- Provide functional guidance to payroll teams and support continuous process improvement.




- Create and maintain payroll process documentation and knowledge articles.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the current organization/process with a consistent performance record.
- Strong hands-on experience in US and Canada payroll processing.

- Thorough understanding of

- Payroll legislation and compliance

- Payroll taxation
- Quarter-End and Year-End processing
- Tax filings and tax notices

- Garnishments and statutory deductions

- Payroll accounting and reconciliations

- Mandatory experience with
- SAP HR & Payroll
- SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC)
- MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred

- Payroll certifications (CPP, FPC, CPA or equivalent).
- Experience supporting multiple country payrolls.
- Knowledge of GlobalView, payroll compliance, and tax operations.
