UK Financial Controller Financial Services Pan India – 5+ Years

We are looking for a qualified finance qualified with 5+ years of experience across accounting, audit, or financial reporting, preferably with a public accounting background. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and UK GAAP, along with hands-on experience in month-end close, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and financial statement preparation. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

1. Analyzing key Balance Sheet and P&L; accounts and preparing and posting US GAAP and local GAAP journals.
2. Managing month-end close activities, including journal preparation and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
3. Preparing monthly legal entity performance analysis and management accounts.
4. Maintaining accurate financial records in line with local accounting standards.
5. Preparing financial statements for legal entities under FRS 101, FRS 102, and IFRS.
6. Liaising with external auditors for the timely completion of statutory audits.
7. Ensuring timely submission of financial and non-financial information to relevant local authorities.
8. Preparing VAT and Corporate Tax returns and supporting ad-hoc management reporting and analysis.

Requirements

1. Holding 5+ years of experience in audit, finance, accounting, or financial reporting, preferably within Public Accounting.
2. Possessing a CA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
3. Demonstrating strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
4.



Having hands-on experience with UK GAAP and financial statement preparation under FRS 101 and FRS 102.
5. Having experience in month-end close, journal entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
6. Demonstrating exposure to statutory audits, tax accounting, VAT, and local tax regimes.
7. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent discipline.
8. Demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
