D&C; Group is looking for a technically skilled, organized person to support our dubbing and localization team. You’ll prepare audio and video materials, work in Pro Tools, troubleshoot technical issues, and help projects move smoothly from incoming files into production.
What you’ll do
- Receive, download, check, and organize client materials, including videos, audio tracks, and scripts.
- Create low-resolution video copies, extract audio, and convert files according to project requirements.
- Prepare Pro Tools sessions, organize tracks, import media, and export audio for production and delivery.
- Check frame rates, timecodes, synchronization, sample rates, bit depth, and channel layouts.
- Prepare and upload materials to Dubformer, our AI dubbing platform.
- Troubleshoot software, plugins, audio interfaces, file compatibility, storage, and transfer issues.
- Support project managers, linguists, and mixers with technical questions.
- Maintain explicit folder structures, file naming, version control, and handover notes.
What we’re looking for
- Strong practical knowledge of
Avid Pro Tools
,
including session preparation, routing, editing, and exports.
- Strong computer skills
, with confidence troubleshooting Windows and/or macOS.
- Experience preparing and converting audio and video files.
- Understanding of codecs, media formats, audio channels, and synchronization.
- An organized approach, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical specifications.
- Clear communication in English and the ability to explain technical issues simply.
- Someone comfortable handling routine preparation tasks while taking ownership of technical problems.
A plus
- Experience with dubbing, localization, broadcast, or audio post-production.
- Familiarity with Shutter Encoder, FFmpeg, DaVinci Resolve, MediaInfo, or similar tools.
- Experience with Pro Tools stereo/5.1 workflows, M&E; tracks, and audio QC.
- Familiarity with Aspera, Signiant, cloud storage, and large-file transfers.
- Experience with AI dubbing platforms or workflow automation.
