About the Role

Hidemen Group is looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager Manufacturing & Product Development to manage new and existing manufacturing projects from concept through production.

We manufacture and source premium metal hardware and leather products for customers in the U.S. and other international markets. Our hardware includes stainless steel, solid brass, and other metal components used in leather goods, equestrian/tack products, architectural applications, and custom manufacturing.

We already have established manufacturing partners, suppliers, and production capabilities. We’re looking for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and speed to the development and production process.

This is not primarily a purchasing position. Your responsibility is to own projects from start to finish and make sure every stage keeps moving.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

- Manage multiple manufacturing and product-development projects simultaneously.
- Create and maintain a clear project timeline for every new product.
- Coordinate the complete development process:

Product/Concept Technical Drawing Prototype Tooling/Mold Sample Approval Production QC Delivery
- Follow up daily with suppliers, engineers, mold/tooling makers, casting facilities, finishing facilities, and internal teams.
- Establish realistic lead times for each stage and hold responsible parties accountable.
- Identify delays and bottlenecks before they affect the final delivery date.
- Maintain transparent project status reports showing what is completed, what is pending, who is responsible, and expected completion dates.




- Coordinate development of stainless-steel and brass hardware, including buckles, rings, snaps, custom components, and other cast/machined products.
- Work with technical drawings, STEP files, samples, prototypes, molds, and tooling.
- Coordinate outside CAD/design resources when technical drawings or modifications are required.
- Work closely with our Procurement Manager without duplicating purchasing responsibilities.
- Visit suppliers and manufacturing facilities throughout India as required.
- Help management develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product development and manufacturing.
- Continuously identify ways to shorten development and production lead times while maintaining quality.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is extremely organized but also comfortable working directly with factories and suppliers.

Preferred qualifications

- 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering project management, product development, sourcing, or a similar role.
- Experience working with metal components, casting, machining, tooling, molds, or industrial manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, CAD/STEP files, tolerances, samples, and production processes.




- Experience coordinating multiple suppliers or manufacturing processes.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently push projects forward rather than simply report that something is delayed.
- Strong written and verbal English and Hindi communication.
- Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets and project-management or ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel regularly to manufacturing partners throughout India.

Experience with investment casting/lost-wax casting, stainless steel, brass hardware, CNC machining, polishing/finishing, or tooling development would be particularly valuable.

Location & Travel

Our primary manufacturing operations are based in Kanpur, so we prefer someone who can be based in Kanpur and work closely with the team there.

However, our supplier network extends across multiple locations in India, so regular travel is an important part of this position.

Candidates currently based in Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, Noida, or other manufacturing hubs who are willing to relocate to Kanpur are encouraged to apply. Relocation support can be discussed for a strong candidate.
