We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Engineering with strong expertise in die modelling, manufacturing drawings, tooling, GD&T;, and CNC machining. The candidate should have strong technical knowledge and the ability to lead the engineering team and manage engineering activities from design to manufacturing feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Engineering and Design team.
- Develop and review 3D die models as per customer requirements.
- Prepare and review 2D manufacturing drawings with proper specifications.
- Prepare and review assembly drawings and engineering documentation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Perform and review tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Evaluate tool manufacturing feasibility and provide suitable engineering solutions.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and manufacturing methods.
- Review designs for manufacturability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and other departments for smooth execution.
- Review customer drawings and technical requirements and provide engineering inputs.
- Support new product development, tooling development, and process improvement activities.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within the required timelines.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on knowledge of 3D Die Modelling.
- Excellent knowledge of 2D Manufacturing & Assembly Drawings.
- Strong expertise in GD&T; and Tolerance Stack-up.
- Positive understanding of Tool Design and Manufacturing Feasibility.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong engineering team leadership and problem-solving skills.
Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Engineering / Tool Design / Manufacturing, with proven experience in a managerial or leadership role.
