Summary:

UST is looking a hands-on .NET Technical Leader with strong experience in solution architecture, modern .NET development, legacy modernization, and enterprise application delivery. The ideal candidate can assess complex systems, make sound architecture decisions, guide engineering teams, and step into code to resolve critical technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Own .NET solution architecture, technical direction, design standards, and end-to-end delivery.
- Design and develop enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework Core, and asynchronous programming.
- Assess and modernize legacy .NET Framework applications and define incremental migration strategies.
- Design APIs, microservices, modular monoliths, databases, messaging, and enterprise integrations.
- Drive application performance, scalability, reliability, security, and observability.
- Lead technical troubleshooting of production issues using logs, metrics, traces, profiling, and database analysis.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
- Partner with QA, DevOps, security, UX, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar to accelerate development while maintaining appropriate review and quality controls.
- Own technical risks, estimates, dependencies, release readiness, and production handover.

Required Qualifications

- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership, solution design, or enterprise application ownership.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET/.NET Framework, ASP.NET Core, Web API,



Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices/modular architecture, clean architecture, SOLID, and design patterns.
- Solid experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational databases, including performance tuning.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of authentication/authorization, secure coding, observability, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with legacy application modernization and migration to modern .NET.
- Practical experience using AI-powered development tools and validating AI-generated code.
- Strong communication, technical leadership, problem-solving, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading complex .NET modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience with Kubernetes, event-driven architecture, messaging, API gateways, gRPC, or GraphQL.
- Experience with enterprise authentication, multi-tenant, regulated, or high-volume transactional applications.
- Experience establishing architecture standards, reusable accelerators, automated quality gates, or AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Relevant Microsoft, cloud, architecture, or AI certifications.
