Reporting To About the Role Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Gopalan Enterprises is looking for an experienced Site Engineer – Finishing to oversee and coordinate finishing activities at the Gopalan Fortune City Commercial Project. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and safety requirements. The role requires strong site coordination and hands-on experience in commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor all finishing works at the project site.

Ensure execution is as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project standards. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams.

Plan and monitor day-to-day finishing activities to achieve project timelines.

Supervise flooring and tiling, false ceiling, painting and wall finishes, plastering, doors and windows, joinery and carpentry, aluminium and glazing works, waterproofing-related finishing works, and other architectural finishing activities.

Check workmanship and ensure finishing works meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Identify and resolve site-level technical and execution issues.

Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with the QA/QC team for quality checks. Ensure proper measurements are taken for completed works and coordinate with the billing team.

Monitor contractor manpower, material availability, productivity, and work progress. Coordinate with MEP and civil teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution. Review drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.

Maintain daily progress reports and update project management on site progress.



Ensure materials are used efficiently and minimize wastage.

Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding delays, site constraints, material requirements, and execution issues.

Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site safety procedures and company standards.

Conduct snagging and ensure timely closure of finishing-related defects.

Support project handover activities, including final inspections and rectification of pending works.

Required Skills

Robust knowledge of commercial building finishing works.

Good understanding of construction drawings, architectural drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

Strong site execution and contractor management skills. Knowledge of finishing materials, construction methods, and quality standards.

Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and contractors.

Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage work within tight project deadlines.

Good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.

Ability to prepare progress reports and maintain site documentation.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related qualification.

Experience 6+ years of relevant experience in finishing/site execution. Experience in commercial, residential, mall, IT park, hotel, or large-scale building projects will be preferred.

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience managing finishing activities at an active construction site.

Preferred Candidate Profile- A Civil Engineering professional with 6+ years of hands-on finishing experience, preferably from a commercial construction background, with strong contractor coordination and site execution capabilities.
