Core Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, administer, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and associated software.
2. Deploy, host, and manage web applications, Windows applications, domains, subdomains, and related services within server environments.
3. Monitor server performance, availability, storage, and resource utilisation to ensure optimal system health and uptime.
4. Perform regular data backup, restoration, and recovery activities to ensure data protection and business continuity.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve server, operating system, network, and application-related issues in a timely manner.
6. Coordinate with development and application support teams for software deployments, patch implementation, configuration changes, and production releases.
7. Maintain and update technical documentation, including server configurations, infrastructure changes, deployment procedures, and system inventories.
8. Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support infrastructure operations and project requirements.

Security & Compliance Responsibilities
1. Implement and maintain server security controls, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, access controls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption.
2. Apply operating system, firmware, and software updates to ensure system stability and protection against security vulnerabilities.
3. Manage user accounts, permissions,



and access rights in accordance with organizational policies and security standards.
4. Monitor system logs, security alerts, and audit reports to identify and mitigate potential risks proactively.

Reliability & Infrastructure Management
1. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of server environments through proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance.
2. Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation to minimize downtime and ensure rapid service restoration.
3. Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization to meet current and future business requirements.
4. Assist in infrastructure upgrades, server migrations, virtualization initiatives, and technology enhancement projects.
5. Provide on-call or after-hours support when required to maintain critical business services and resolve production incidents.
