Job Summary:

The Performance Testing is responsible for owning and driving end-to-end performance and non-functional testing for web, API, and enterprise-scale platforms. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Apache JMeter and open-source performance tools, along with solid analytical capabilities to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable tuning recommendations. The role works closely with engineering, DevOps, architecture, and external stakeholders to ensure platform scalability, stability, and release readiness.

What you will do here:

- Own and drive end-to-end performance testing across business-critical applications.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to define performance strategy, workload models, SLAs, KPIs, and success criteria.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable performance test scripts using Apache JMeter.
- Conduct load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, and capacity testing.
- Execute performance tests across UI, API, and backend systems.
- Monitor application behaviour during execution and identify bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
- Perform in-depth result analysis, root cause identification, and provide actionable tuning recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, architecture teams, and external partners.
- Prepare and present performance test plans, execution reports, trend analysis dashboards, and go/no-go recommendations.
- Support production performance validation and capacity planning exercises.
- Mentor junior engineers and review scripts, execution strategies, and reports.
- Ensure adherence to performance testing standards, best practices, and delivery timelines.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote automation-driven performance validation.

What you need to thrive:





- 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience in performance and non-functional testing.
- Strong expertise in Apache JMeter as a primary performance testing tool.
- Strong knowledge of performance testing concepts including response time, throughput, latency, concurrency, and error rates.
- Solid Java knowledge for scripting, correlation handling, and custom sampler development.
- Experience testing REST and API-driven systems at enterprise scale.
- Hands-on experience analyzing system-level metrics such as CPU, memory, garbage collection, disk I/O, and network utilization.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and identify system risks.
- Ability to clearly articulate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Exposure to performance monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or New Relic is a plus.
- Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and microservices-based architectures is preferred.
