Role Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior OKE & Kubernetes Platform Engineer with extensive experience in Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and Kubernetes, along with working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise-scale OKE clusters, resolving complex production issues, ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence, and providing technical leadership for Kubernetes platform operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, administer, and support production-grade OKE and Kubernetes clusters.
- Perform cluster lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, maintenance, patching, and capacity planning.
- Lead the resolution of critical platform incidents related to clusters, nodes, pods, networking, storage, and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes environments and OCI-hosted infrastructure.
- Monitor platform health, availability, and performance to ensure reliable operations.
- Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams to deliver stable and scalable Kubernetes platforms.
- Support platform optimization initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1/L2 engineers supporting Kubernetes operations.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring platform issues.




- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across Kubernetes and OKE environments.

Experience
- 8-12+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
- Experience supporting large-scale, customer-facing production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities.

Preferred Certifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- OCI Architect Associate/Qualified
- Terraform Associate
