Role & responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, API Q1, PED, ASME, CE, IBR, and other applicable industry standards.
- Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
- Drive quality culture throughout the organization.

Manufacturing Quality Assurance

- Establish quality plans, inspection procedures, and control plans for valve manufacturing processes.

- Ensure quality compliance across

- Incoming material inspection

- Machining

- Assembly
- Hydro-static and pneumatic testing

- Painting and packaging
- Monitor process capability and implement corrective actions.

Product Quality Control

- Ensure conformity of gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, cryogenic, control, and special-purpose valves to customer and code requirements.
- Review inspection reports, test certificates, and manufacturing records.
- Oversee dimensional inspection, pressure testing, NDT, PMI, hardness testing, and metallurgical evaluations.

Customer Quality Management

- Interface with customers, consultants, third-party inspection agencies, and certification bodies.
- Handle customer complaints and warranty claims.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive customer satisfaction and quality performance metrics.

Supplier Quality Management

- Develop and monitor supplier quality systems.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
- Ensure quality of castings, forgings, actuators, seals, fasteners, and purchased components.
- Lead supplier development initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Quality Circle initiatives.

- Drive reduction of

- Lead QA/QC managers, engineers, inspectors, laboratory personnel, and quality coordinators.
- Develop succession planning and competency enhancement programs.
- Conduct performance reviews and training programs.
- Build a high-performance quality organization.

Quality Metrics & Reporting

- Monitor and report:

- First Pass Yield (FPY)

- Rejection Rate

- Customer Complaint Rate

- Cost of Quality

- Supplier PPM
- On-Time Quality Release

- Audit Findings Closure
- Present quality performance reviews to senior management.

Preferred candidate profile A seasoned Quality skilled with 18 to 30 years of experience in valve manufacturing, possessing strong expertise in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Systems, and Continuous Improvement. Proven track record in managing quality functions for API/ASME valves supplied to Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Power, and Process industries. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of valve manufacturing processes, pressure testing, NDT, metallurgy, supplier quality management, and international standards including API, ASME, ISO, PED, and NACE. Experience in handling customer inspections, third-party inspection agencies, certification audits, and global EPC/end-user requirements is essential.

Should demonstrate strong leadership capabilities in driving quality excellence, reducing rejections and customer complaints, improving First Pass Yield, lowering Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and building a robust quality culture across the organization. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and strategic quality initiatives will be highly preferred.

A Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgical Engineering graduate with excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, decision-making, and team development skills.
