Vendor Development -

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and manufacturing capability requirements.

2. Conduct supplier audits, process capability studies, and vendor assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.

3. Assess supplier expertise in machining, casting, forging, fabrication, assembly, and related manufacturing processes.

4. Coordinate supplier qualification activities, including PPAP, FAI, and current product development requirements.

5. Monitor supplier quality performance through PPM tracking, SCAR management, and corrective action effectiveness.

6. Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives to achieve quality, delivery, and productivity targets.

7. Resolve supplier issues related to drawings, specifications, process changes, and product quality.

8. Review supplier manufacturing processes and recommend improvements in quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

9. Collaborate with Quality, Purchase, Production, Design, and Supply Chain teams for supplier-related activities.

10. Lead root cause analysis and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

11. Support cost reduction, localization, value engineering, and alternate source development projects.

12. Ensure compliance with quality tools and methodologies such as 7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan, and 8D.

Develop and maintain supplier performance scorecards and conduct periodic supplier reviews.

14. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Pump Manufacturing Industry.

Desired Candidate Profile

- BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

- 5-10 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Vendor Development, or Manufacturing Quality.

- Strong knowledge of machining, casting, forging, fabrication, assembly, and quality systems.

- Hands-on experience in supplier audits, PPAP, FAI, APQP, and quality improvement projects.

- Proficient in problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Root Cause Analysis.

- Good negotiation, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

- Experience in pump, motor, or engineering manufacturing industries would be an added advantage.
