Role & responsibilities

Quality & API Compliance

- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with applicable API, ISO, customer, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Ensure product traceability, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate hydro, pneumatic, functional, dimensional, and other applicable testing.
- Manage NCR, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support API audits, certification, surveillance audits, and customer audits.
- Ensure calibration and control of measuring and testing equipment.
- Monitor customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.

Workplace

- Implement and maintain environmental management practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and permits.
- Monitor waste segregation, disposal, and hazardous waste handling.
- Promote reduction of waste, energy consumption, and environmental impacts.

Health & Safety

- Implement and monitor workplace health and safety requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, JSA/JHA, and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with PPE, machine safety, fire safety, electrical safety, and safe working practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency/mock drills.

Audits & Compliance

- Conduct internal QEHS audits and monitor closure of findings.
- Maintain legal and statutory compliance records.
- Coordinate external, certification, API, and customer audits.




- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and nonconformities.

Documentation & Improvement

- Maintain QEHS procedures, records, reports, and controlled documents.
- Monitor QEHS KPIs and prepare periodic reports.
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive continual improvement.
- Coordinate QEHS training and awareness programs.
- Support Management Review and compliance-related activities.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 69 years of experience in QEHS / Quality / HSE in a manufacturing environment, preferably valve, oil & gas, petrochemical, or engineering industry.
- Hands-on experience in API-certified manufacturing organizations will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of API requirements, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Experience in handling API, ISO, customer, and third-party audits.
- Knowledge of NCR, CAPA, RCA, 8D, 5 Why, and internal auditing.
- Understanding of valve manufacturing processes, inspection, testing, traceability, and quality documentation.
- Knowledge of risk assessment, JSA/JHA, safety inspections, incident investigation, and statutory compliance.
- ISO Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification will be an advantage.
- Good documentation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office / Excel and quality documentation systems.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, compliance, and continual improvement.
