Job Title: Senior Chemist – Quality Control & NABL Laboratory

Compensation: Up to ₹50,000 / month (Commensurate with experience)

About the Role A leading manufacturing organization specializing in high-performance industrial fuels, automotive lubricants, specialty oils, and greases is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Chemist.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Perform physical and chemical testing of base oils, additives, greases, industrial lubricants, and fuel oils using standard test methods (ASTM, IP, IS).

Carry out key petroleum analyses, including kinematic viscosity, viscosity index, flash/fire point, pour point, TAN/TBN, copper corrosion, moisture content (Karl Fischer), and foam characteristics.

Oversee routine sample analysis and used oil condition monitoring for industrial clients.

NABL / ISO/IEC 17025 Compliance:

Implement, maintain,



and upgrade the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in strict alignment with ISO/IEC 17025.

Process Control & Troubleshooting:

Evaluate raw materials against procurement specifications before production batch blending.

Perform batch correction and blend adjustments during lubricant manufacturing to ensure zero defect rates.

Investigate non-conformances (NCR), root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering.

Experience: 4 to 8 years of core laboratory and testing experience within the Lubricants, Petrochemicals, Refinery, or Specialty Chemicals manufacturing sector.

Standards & Compliance:

Hands-on working experience with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 implementation or maintenance within an accredited NABL testing lab.
