Digital Paaji Academy is the training arm of Digital Paaji, a Patiala-based digital marketing agency. We offer practical, industry-focused courses in digital marketing and AI, taught by working professionals, and help students become job-ready through live projects and internship opportunities with our agency.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and persuasive Senior Academic Counsellor to guide students and working professionals toward the right course, drive admissions, and lead our counselling efforts. This role suits someone who enjoys advising people about their careers and is confident about meeting targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students, graduates, working professionals and business owners on course options and career paths
- Handle walk-in, phone and online enquiries, and convert them into admissions
- Follow up with leads from social media ads, the website and referrals within a set time
- Conduct course demos, orientation sessions and seminars at colleges when needed
- Meet monthly admission and revenue targets
- Guide and support the telecalling team, and review their lead follow-ups
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups and conversions in the CRM
- Coordinate with trainers on batch schedules,
and keep students informed
- Collect student feedback and support retention and referrals
- Build partnerships with local colleges and institutes for workshops and student outreach
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions or education sales
- Excellent communication in Punjabi, Hindi and English
- A proven record of meeting admission or sales targets
- Strong persuasion and objection-handling skills
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and career opportunities in the field (training provided)
- Comfortable using CRM tools, Google Sheets and WhatsApp Business
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)
Good to Have
- Experience with an ed-tech company, coaching institute or skill-training academy
- An existing network with colleges in and around Patiala
- Experience leading or mentoring a small team
