Our manufacturing and quality systems are backed by ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP standards . We are now looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager – Assam & Northeast to lead distribution expansion, strengthen our trade network and accelerate sales growth across the region.

Role Overview The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving primary and secondary sales, expanding distribution, managing super-stockists and distributors, improving market coverage and leading the field sales team across Assam and Northeast India.

The role will be based in Guwahati and will involve extensive travel across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive primary and secondary sales across Assam and Northeast India.
- Develop and expand the distributor, super-stockist and retail network.
- Identify current markets, territories and distribution opportunities.
- Strengthen relationships with existing distributors and key trade partners.
- Improve outlet coverage, product availability and market penetration.
- Drive sales growth for GOPALA Gold, HELICOPTER and GOPALA Spices .
- Monitor distributor stock, secondary movement and market performance.




- Develop and execute territory-wise sales plans.
- Lead, mentor and monitor the field sales team.
- Set sales targets and track performance against agreed KPIs.
- Conduct regular market visits and distributor reviews.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, schemes and market trends.
- Ensure effective implementation of trade schemes and sales initiatives.
- Work closely with management to identify growth opportunities across Assam and the Northeast.

Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates with:
- 8–15 years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably Edible Oils, Food Products, Spices or related categories.
- Strong understanding of the Assam FMCG market .
- An established distributor and trade network across Assam will be highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing distributors, super-stockists and field sales teams.
- Strong understanding of primary sales, secondary sales, beat planning and retail execution.
- Ability to identify and develop new markets.
- Strong negotiation, communication and team-management skills.
- Fluency in Assamese and Hindi .
- Willingness to travel extensively across Assam and Northeast India.
- Candidates currently based in or familiar with Guwahati / Assam will be preferred.
