Role & responsibilities

1Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of welding robots and robotic automation systems.

2Troubleshoot faults in robot controllers, teach pendants, servo drives, sensors, and safety circuits.

3Maintain and program industrial robots such as ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa, KUKA, etc.

4Ensure proper functioning of robotic welding cells, grippers, fixtures, and peripheral devices.

5Carry out robot calibration, mastering, and TCP setup as per process requirements.

6Modify and optimize robot programs to improve cycle time and productivity.

7Diagnose issues related to robotic welding quality and coordinate with production for corrections.

8Maintain backup of robot programs, parameters, and system configurations.

9Coordinate with vendors for robot servicing, spares, and technical support.

10 Support installation, commissioning, and trials of current robotic systems and automation projects.

11 Ensure safety interlocks, guarding systems, and emergency circuits are always functional.

12Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and robot history records.

13Train operators on basic robot handling and troubleshooting.





14Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve OEE.

15Participate in TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.

MAINTENANCE - PLC PROGRAMMER

Role & responsibilities

1Attend machine breakdowns related to PLC, robot, and electrical panels.

2Troubleshoot PLC programs using Mitsubishi Electric GX Works software.

3Diagnose robotPLC communication issues with Yaskawa Electric Corporation robots.

4Check and rectify I/O faults, sensors, actuators, and interlocks.

5Support preventive maintenance activities for PLC and robotic systems.

6Maintain electrical panels, wiring, and control circuits.

7Ensure proper functioning of safety systems (interlocks, light curtains, emergency stops).

8Take PLC program backups and maintain revision records.

9Coordinate with production team to minimize downtime and improve machine availability.

10Assist in minor logic modifications and continuous improvement activities.
