Acies Technology Implementation Practice is seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Regulatory Reporting to support regulatory reporting analysis and solution delivery across Acies product implementations for banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and insurance companies in India and the Middle East.

Highlight of the engagement opportunity

- Nature of role: Full time
- Number of years of experience expected: 3–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2–3 years in regulatory reporting, RegTech, or BFSI reporting implementation. Candidates without direct regulatory reporting implementation experience will not be shortlisted.
- Areas of past experience preferred / mandatory:
- Business analysis for regulatory reporting implementations in Banking, NBFC, Financial Institutions, or Insurance.
- Strong hands-on experience with BRD, FSD, user stories, data mapping, gap analysis, traceability matrix, UAT, and reporting validation.
- Regulatory interpretation and translation of circulars/guidelines into functional and data requirements.
- Exposure to one or more of the following:
- India: RBI returns, NBFC regulatory returns, IRDAI reporting, Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, LCR, NSFR, ALM, capital adequacy, NPA/asset classification.
- Middle East: CBUAE, SAMA, CBB, QCB, CBO, CMA Kuwait, and other regional regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Experience with regulatory reporting platforms or automation tools such as AxiomSL, Wolters Kluwer OneSumX, Vermeg, SAS, Oracle OFSAA, Moody’s, or similar RegTech solutions.
- Strong data analysis skills using SQL and advanced Excel.
- Educational qualification required: Chartered Accountant / MBA / Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- Additional certifications preferred: FRM, PRM, CFA, Basel/IFRS certification, SQL/data analytics certification.
- Preferred geography of previous work experience: India and/or Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait).
- Language requirements: Ability to write and speak fluently in English. Arabic is an added advantage for Middle East projects.
- Technology proficiency preferred:
- Advanced MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
- SQL for data extraction, validation, and reconciliation.
- JIRA / Confluence or similar requirement and defect management tools.
- Regulatory reporting platforms: AxiomSL, OneSumX, Vermeg, SAS, OFSAA, Moody’s,



or equivalent.
- Power BI / Tableau is a plus.

Key responsibility areas:

- Interpreting regulatory guidelines and circulars from regulators such as RBI, IRDAI, CBUAE, SAMA, CBB, QCB, CBO, CMA Kuwait, and others.
- Gathering and documenting business and functional requirements through BRD, FSD, user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents.
- Performing gap analysis between regulatory requirements, client processes, and existing systems.
- Defining data sourcing, transformation, validation rules, lineage, aggregation, and controls required for regulatory reports.
- Helping configure, test, and validate reporting outputs on Acies or third-party regulatory reporting platforms.
- Supporting UAT, defect triage, reconciliation, audit trails, and final sign-off.
- Working closely with client compliance, risk, finance, data, and IT teams to ensure accurate and timely regulatory submissions.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of reporting templates, automation, and delivery accelerators.
- Managing time-bound regulatory deadlines with high attention to detail and quality.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders and prepare regular status reports highlighting progress, challenges, and key milestones.
- Drive day‑to‑day execution of assigned client projects.
- Develop a strong understanding of the client’s business, strategic priorities, industry dynamics, and market conditions, and recommend/implement improvements that deliver ongoing value.

- Other important information:

- Work permit requirements: Either Indian Citizen or having valid work permit to work in India
- Period of engagement: Full-time position
- Probation period: 6 months
- Compensation: Compensation varies depending on the skill, fitment and role played by the person. Compensation discussions will take place post the selection process.

Selection process:

We seek to be transparent during the selection process. While the actual process may vary from the process indicated below, the key steps involved are as follows:

- Domain / regulatory reporting interview: Assessment of regulatory reporting knowledge, BRD/FSD, data mapping, gap analysis, and UAT experience.
- Technical / data case study: SQL, data validation, reconciliation, and reporting logic exercise.
- Client / partner fit interview: Problem-solving, communication, ownership, and ability to work with compliance, risk, finance, and IT stakeholders.
- Final discussion on career and compensation: Post final selection, a separate discussion will be set up to discuss compensation and career growth.
- The number of interview rounds may increase depending on the criticality and seniority of the role involved.
