- Conduct feasibility studies and design of:
- Horizontal and vertical railway alignments
- Yard layouts and alignment alternatives
- -Work on Final location surveys and DPR preparation for Indian Railways projects
- -Perform alignment design as per Indian Railways standards and codes
- -Prepare and review:
- Alignment plans
- L-sections and profiles
- Curve, gradient, and layout calculations
Software & Tools
- Civil 3D / OpenRail mandatory
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, and survey data interpretation
Technical Knowledge
- Robust understanding of Indian Railways standards, including:
- IRSOD
- IRPWM
- IRCM
- IRSM
- Bridge manuals
- Railway layout, curve, and gradient calculations
- Ability to interpret survey data (DGPS / LiDAR / TS) for alignment design
Coordination & Leadership
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including:
- Structures
- Land acquisition
- Hydrology
- Estimation
- S&T;
- Electrical & MEP
- Survey and site teams
- -Guide and provide technical inputs for:
- Feasibility reports
- DPR drawings and documentation
- Review and guide the drafting team for technical accuracy
Client Interaction & Ownership
- Maintain strong professional relationship with clients
- Handle tasks independently with full ownership
- Attend and lead technical meetings with clients when required
- Prepare and submit compliances for client comments on drawings
- Handle escalations and ensure timely delivery with quality
Planning & Team Management
- Conduct internal technical coordination meetings
- Plan deliverables to achieve faster turnaround without compromising quality
- Manage drafting resources efficiently
