Role & responsibilities

- Evaluate, qualify, and approve suppliers for HVAC components, sheet metal parts, copper tubing, heat exchangers, compressors, motors, electrical components, plastics, and bought-out assemblies.
- Conduct supplier audits including Quality System Audits, Process Audits, Manufacturing Capability Assessments, and Compliance Audits.
- Lead supplier PPAP/APQP activities and ensure successful current product launches.
- Review supplier quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA, SPC studies, and Inspection Plans.
- Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs such as PPM, Rejection Rate, Customer Complaints, and Supplier Scorecards.
- Investigate supplier quality issues and lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA methodologies.
- Drive supplier corrective and preventive action closure within agreed timelines.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve process capability, product quality, and manufacturing consistency.
- Manage incoming quality concerns and ensure containment actions are implemented promptly.




- Support localization and supplier development initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct process validation and capability studies at supplier facilities.
- Work closely with Design, R&D;, Production, and Procurement teams for quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (where applicable), ISO 14001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Evaluate supplier change requests and assess quality risks associated with process or material changes.
- Track warranty claims, field failures, and supplier-related customer complaints, ensuring effective resolution.
- Develop supplier quality improvement roadmaps and conduct periodic performance reviews.
- Prepare and present supplier quality reports, audit findings, and management review presentations.
- Lead supplier development activities focused on defect reduction, cost of poor quality reduction, and continuous improvement.
