Role Description The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will work full time on-site in the Greater Chennai Area, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to ensure the reliability of our learning platform and related tools. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing automated test frameworks, creating and maintaining test cases, and executing both manual and automated tests across web and backend services.

The role involves identifying defects, reporting issues with clear documentation, and verifying fixes in a timely manner to support frequent releases. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, participate in code reviews related to test automation, and help define quality standards for new features and integrations.





Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with a focus on testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience designing, writing, and maintaining Test Cases, including test plans and test documentation.
- Hands-on capability in Manual Testing for functional, regression, and exploratory test activities.
- Practical experience with QA Automation, including building and running automated test suites and using automation tools or frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git) to integrate automated tests into development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and transparent defect reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience testing web-based educational or SaaS products is a plus, as is exposure to startup or high-growth environments.
