JD role

Responsibilities

1.Incoming Quality Control (IQC)

Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out components, and fabricated parts as per approved inspection plans.

Verify material specifications, dimensions, surface finish, and compliance with engineering drawings.

Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and supplier quality documents.

Record inspection results and approve or reject incoming materials.

Coordinate with Purchase and Stores regarding non-conforming materials.

2.In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

Conduct stage-wise inspections during manufacturing & assembly stages.

Verify adherence to approved drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.

Identify manufacturing defects and immediately report deviations to Production.

Ensure process parameters and inspection checkpoints are followed.

Maintain in-process inspection records.

3.Final Quality Control (FQC)

Perform final inspection of completed HVAC products before dispatch.

Verify dimensions, fitment, functionality, appearance, labeling, and documentation.

Witness functional, pressure, leakage, and performance tests where applicable.

Ensure only approved products are released for dispatch.

Prepare and maintain final inspection reports.

4.Product Testing

Conduct or witness product testing as per approved testing procedures.

Verify test results against customer specifications and acceptance criteria.





Ensure testing equipment is in proper working condition before use.

Record test data and maintain testing reports.

Report any test failures and initiate corrective action requests.

5.Non-Conformance Control

Identify and report non-conforming materials and products.

Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality deviations.

Ensure rejected products are properly identified and segregated.

Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

Verify effectiveness of corrective actions before closure.

6.Measurement & Calibration

Use precision measuring instruments accurately.

Verify calibration status of measuring instruments before use.

Report damaged or expired measuring equipment.

Support calibration activities and maintain equipment records.

7.Documentation & Quality Records

Maintain inspection reports, testing records,NCRs, and quality checklists.

Ensure inspection documents are complete, accurate, and traceable.

Update quality records in ERP or manual systems.

Maintain document control as per QMS requirements.

Prepare daily inspection summaries and quality reports.

8.Process Improvement

Identify recurring quality issues and suggest improvement opportunities.

Assist in reducing rejection, rework, and scrap.

Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Recommend improvements in inspection methods and quality procedures.

9.Cross-Functional Coordination





Coordinate with Production to resolve quality issues during manufacturing.

Work closely with QA Engineers on process compliance and corrective actions.

Coordinate with Purchase regarding supplier quality concerns.

Support Stores during incoming material inspections.

Assist Design and Engineering teams during recent product inspections and trials.

10.Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all company safety procedures while performing inspections and testing.

Ensure quality inspections comply with ISO 9001 and company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Maintain housekeeping in inspection and testing areas.

Support internal and external quality audits.

Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements.

11.Reporting & Documentation

Prepare quality control reports.

Create inspection reports, test records, calibration records & NCR documentation

Maintain MIS reports related to product quality & inspection performance.

Skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of quality tools

Effective communication and reporting skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with Production, QA, Purchase, Design, and Stores teams.

High level of integrity and commitment to quality standards.

Good working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

English, Hindi & Marathi

Travel Requirements: As per company requirement

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
