About the Role

We're looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on automation experience to help us deliver high-quality, reliable software. You'll design and maintain automated test suites, work closely with developers and product owners in an Agile environment, and play a key role in keeping quality high across every release.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium and Playwright.

- Build and enhance BDD test frameworks using Cucumber, writing explicit, reusable feature files and step definitions.

- Review user stories and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing across sprints.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using tools like Jira, and work with developers to resolve them.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Maintain test documentation, reports, and quality metrics.

Must-Have Skills

- 23 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.

- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Python or Java.





- Practical experience with the Cucumber BDD framework (Gherkin syntax, feature files, step definitions).

- Working knowledge of Playwright for modern web automation.

- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with version control (Git) and test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.

- Good understanding of locator strategies, waits, and Page Object Model (POM) design.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

- Basic knowledge of security testing concepts (OWASP Top 10) and tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite.

- API testing experience using Postman or REST Assured.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms or containerization (Docker).

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- ISTQB certification is a plus.
