B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4–8 years of relevant hardcore Purchase/Procurement experience. Responsible for end-to-end procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, machinery, spares, and project requirements.
Key responsibilities include understanding BOQs, drawings, MTOs and specifications; vendor identification and development; RFQ management; quotation collection; technical-commercial evaluation; comparative statements; rate negotiation; cost optimisation; vendor finalisation; PO preparation; delivery follow-up and expediting. The role also involves maintaining vendor databases, purchase trackers, rate benchmarking, PPV, savings records and MIS reports. Candidates should have solid market knowledge, negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to independently handle procurement while ensuring quality, cost and timely delivery.
