- Prepare detailed cost estimates and RFQ submissions for recent products, covering raw materials, casting/forging processes, machining operations, tooling, labor, overheads, logistics, and margins.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard costing models for Die Casting, Sand Casting, Investment Casting, Closed Die Forging, Open Die Forging, and Machining operations.
- Conduct should-cost analysis and benchmark supplier quotations to support strategic sourcing decisions and commercial negotiations.
- Analyse detailed cost elements including material yield, process scrap, cycle time, labor utilization, machine rates, tooling amortization, consumables, energy costs, and rework expenses.
- Monitor and investigate actual versus standard costing variances, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support business development and sales teams with pricing strategies, quote preparation, annual price revisions, and customer negotiations.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to evaluate cost implications of product design changes, localization initiatives, and VA/VE projects.
- Track raw material market trends such as steel, aluminium,



cast iron, alloy steel, and other metals, and update costing models accordingly.
- Prepare product costing sheets, profitability reports, contribution analysis, margin tracking, and program-wise financial performance reviews.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure evaluations, ROI analysis, and payback calculations for manufacturing investments.
- Work closely with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to validate costing assumptions and improve cost accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal finance controls, customer costing formats, and open-book costing requirements where applicable.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, productivity improvements, supplier development, and value engineering activities.
- Lead and mentor the costing team while maintaining costing databases, costing tools, and ERP costing parameters.
- Present cost analysis, management reports, and profitability reviews to senior leadership and stakeholders.
