About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead / Senior Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery operations across our Product and Software Engineering divisions. The role will be responsible for end-to-end delivery ownership, project planning and governance, customer engagement, resource management, quality, timelines, budgets, and successful execution of multiple projects. The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Product, QA, Architecture, Business Development, HR, and senior leadership teams to ensure predictable and high-quality project delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing software/product engineering projects, leading cross-functional technical teams, handling multiple customers/projects, and driving delivery excellence.

What You Will Do

- Delivery & Project Management

- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple Product and Software Engineering projects.

- Define project objectives, scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.

- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget.

- Establish project governance, review mechanisms, dashboards, and reporting structures.

- Track project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and drive timely corrective actions.

- Manage project priorities and ensure effective allocation of technical resources.

- Drive Agile/Scrum or appropriate project delivery methodologies based on project requirements.

- Ensure effective sprint planning, backlog management, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.

- Monitor project KPIs, delivery metrics, productivity, utilization, quality, and customer satisfaction.

- - Product & Software Engineering Leadership

- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, Tech Leads, Developers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.

- Provide delivery leadership across software/product development lifecycle.

- Ensure alignment between product requirements, technical architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support.

- Facilitate resolution of technical and operational blockers affecting project delivery.

- Ensure engineering teams follow defined development, testing, documentation, security, and quality standards.

- Drive continuous improvement in development and delivery processes.

- Support adoption of automation, DevOps, CI/CD, Agile practices, and engineering best practices.

- - Customer & Stakeholder Management

- Act as a senior point of contact for key customers and strategic accounts.

- Understand customer requirements, expectations, priorities, and business objectives.

- Conduct regular project reviews and communicate delivery status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.

- Manage customer escalations and ensure timely resolution.

- Build solid and long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders.

- Participate in customer meetings, requirement discussions, project kick-offs, reviews, and steering committee meetings.

- Identify opportunities for expanding existing engagements in coordination with Business Development/Account Management teams.





- - Resource & People Management

- Plan and forecast manpower requirements based on project pipeline and business priorities.

- Ensure optimum utilization of engineering resources across Product and Software divisions.

- Work closely with HR and recruitment teams for hiring and onboarding requirements.

- Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate training and development initiatives.

- Mentor Project Managers, Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and other delivery team members.

- Drive performance management and ensure clear ownership and accountability within teams.

- Develop a strong delivery leadership pipeline and succession plan.

- - Project Financial & Commercial Management

- Monitor project budgets, costs, resource utilization, and profitability.

- Work with Finance and Business teams on project billing, invoicing, milestones, and commercial commitments.

- Track project profitability and identify cost optimization opportunities.

- Support preparation of project estimates, resource plans, proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and commercial inputs.

- Ensure delivery commitments are aligned with contractual and commercial requirements.

- - Risk, Quality & Compliance

- Establish proactive project risk and issue management processes.

- Maintain project risk registers and ensure mitigation plans are implemented.

- Identify delivery risks related to resources, technology, dependencies, scope, timelines, and customer commitments.

- Ensure compliance with organizational processes, information security requirements, and quality standards.

- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for major delivery issues.

- Ensure appropriate project documentation and audit readiness.

- - Business & Strategic Contribution

- Work with senior leadership to develop and execute delivery strategies for Product and Software Engineering.

- Contribute to annual and quarterly business planning.

- Support technology and capability development initiatives.

- Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, automation, scalability, and margins.

- Participate in pre-sales activities, solution discussions, estimations, technical presentations, and customer proposals when required.

- Support new business opportunities by providing delivery feasibility, effort estimates, resource plans, and execution strategies.

- Build delivery capabilities aligned with the organization's future product and technology roadmap.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- MBA/PGDM or relevant project/program management qualification will be an advantage.

- 5–10+ years of relevant experience in software/product engineering and project/program delivery.

- Strong experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional engineering teams.

- Proven experience in customer-facing delivery management roles.

- Strong understanding of software/product development lifecycle.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

- Strong knowledge of project planning, estimation, resource management, risk management, and delivery governance.
