About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to manage and coordinate garment production activities for a high-fashion export house. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely production, maintaining quality standards, optimizing manpower and resources, and achieving production targets as per buyer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the complete garment production process from order planning to final shipment.
- Ensure production is completed as per buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare production plans and monitor daily production against targets.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Sampling, Quality, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Packing, and Dispatch teams.
- Monitor production efficiency, manpower utilization, line balancing, and machine utilization.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take timely corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to approved samples, measurements, construction details, and buyer specifications.
- Monitor and control production wastage, rework, rejection, and alteration.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality standards throughout the production process.
- Follow up on critical production orders and ensure timely completion as per shipment schedules.
- Coordinate with merchandising and production planning teams regarding order priorities and changes.
- Manage production floor manpower and ensure optimum utilization of available resources.
- Conduct regular production meetings and provide daily/weekly production reports to management.
- Maintain production records, MIS, efficiency reports, and performance data.




- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and workplace standards.
- Train, guide, and motivate production supervisors and production staff.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improving productivity, quality, and production efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate/Diploma in Garment Technology, Textile, Fashion Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in a high-fashion garment export house.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes including cutting, sewing, finishing, pressing, packing, and quality control.
- Good understanding of production planning, line balancing, manpower planning, and production monitoring.
- Experience working with export buyers and time-bound shipment schedules.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage production teams and work under tight deadlines.
- Solid knowledge of garment quality standards and production processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production-related MIS/reporting will be an advantage.
