Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production Management

- Plan and monitor daily production as per the production schedule.
- Allocate operators and manpower to VMC/HMC machines.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time.
- Monitor machine utilization, cycle time, and output.
- Coordinate with Production Planning for priority jobs.

2. Manpower Management

- Allocate operators based on machine skill and workload.
- Monitor attendance, shift deployment, and manpower availability.
- Arrange manpower replacement during absenteeism.
- Coordinate with HR for manpower requirements and transfers.
- Monitor operator performance and discipline.

3. Machine & Process Monitoring

- Ensure machines are operated according to approved work instructions.
- Monitor machine running conditions and abnormalities.
- Ensure proper tool setting, tool life monitoring, and tool replacement.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns.
- Minimize machine idle time and production interruptions.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure operators follow inspection procedures.
- Monitor first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.
- Ensure proper use of gauges and measuring instruments.
- Identify and segregate rejected/non-conforming components.
- Coordinate with Quality for rejection, rework, and corrective actions.
- Maintain process quality and reduce rejection/rework.

5. Safety & 5S





- Ensure proper use of PPE by all operators.
- Maintain workplace safety around VMC/HMC machines.
- Ensure 5S standards are followed on the shop floor.
- Conduct toolbox talks/safety briefings when required.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.

6. Production Records & Documentation

- Maintain daily production reports.
- Record machine-wise production and rejection quantities.
- Monitor downtime and breakdown records.
- Maintain tool-change and inspection records.
- Prepare shift handover reports.
- Update production and manpower status to the Production Manager.

7. Coordination

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Tool Room and HR.
- Communicate production priorities to operators.
- Follow up on material availability with Stores.
- Coordinate with Quality for inspection clearance.
- Inform management about production delays, manpower shortages and machine issues.

8. Performance Monitoring

- Monitor Target vs Actual Production.
- Track rejection and rework percentage.
- Monitor machine downtime and utilization.
- Identify production losses and take corrective action.
- Support improvement activities to increase productivity.

Pay: ₹35,128.40 - ₹50,281.54 per month
