About the Role

Ozone Group is looking for an experienced Product Design Lead / Senior Manager to lead the design and development of products for our Doors & Windows business .

The role will be responsible for driving product design from concept development to production , ensuring design quality, manufacturability, cost effectiveness and compliance with applicable standards. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to fenestration / building products / auto ancillary / engineering manufacturing and experience working with materials such as aluminium, uPVC, stainless steel and plastics .

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end product design and development for Doors & Windows and related architectural products.
- Develop and review 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, BOMs and technical specifications .
- Drive product development from concept → prototype → testing → validation → production .
- Ensure designs meet required quality, performance, safety, dimensional and manufacturing standards .
- Apply knowledge of tolerances, GD&T;, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, PPAP and engineering design practices.
- Develop products considering manufacturability, assembly, functionality, aesthetics, cost and reliability .
- Work closely with manufacturing and vendors on tooling, prototypes, production feasibility and process optimization .
- Work with manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, die casting, machining and related processes .
- Develop and optimize products using materials including Aluminium, uPVC/Plastics, Stainless Steel and other engineering materials .




- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, R&D;, Sales and external vendors for successful product development and launch.
- Conduct design reviews, identify technical risks and drive corrective actions.
- Manage engineering changes, product revisions and technical documentation through PLM systems .
- Manage multiple product development projects and ensure timely execution against agreed cost, quality and timeline targets .
- Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction and design optimization .
- Lead, mentor and manage the Product Design / Engineering team .

Required Experience & Skills

- 10+ years of experience in Product Design / Product Development / Engineering.
- Experience in Doors & Windows / Fenestration / Building Materials / Architectural Products is highly preferred.
- Candidates from Auto Ancillary / Automotive Component Manufacturing with strong product design and manufacturing exposure may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of product design, engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T; .
- Working knowledge of DFMEA, PPAP, DFM/DFA and product validation .
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly:
- Aluminium Extrusion
- Injection Moulding
- Sheet Metal
- Die Casting
- Machining / Fabrication
- Good understanding of Aluminium, uPVC/Plastics, Stainless Steel and related materials .
- Experience in vendor development, tooling and manufacturing feasibility .
- Strong knowledge of Project Management and PLM systems .
- Proven experience in team handling and technical leadership .
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
