Role & responsibilities:

- Understand customer applications, technical requirements, and product specifications.

- Provide technical guidance on suitable stainless steel grades, sizes, finishes, and product forms based on customer applications.

- Support Sales & Marketing teams in technical discussions, customer meetings, and new business development.

- Study customer drawings, specifications, and application requirements and coordinate internally for suitable product solutions.

- Develop product/application knowledge for bars, bright bars, wires, profiles, and other long products.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Technical teams to resolve customer technical queries and application-related issues.

- Support trials, sample development, and product validation at customer locations, wherever required.

- Analyze customer feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement or customization.

- Prepare technical presentations, product comparison sheets, application notes, and customer-specific technical documents.

- Conduct product/application training for internal sales teams when required.

- Support new product development and identify potential applications/markets for Ambicas products.





- Maintain records of technical queries, customer trials, complaints, and application-related actions.

Desired Technical Knowledge

- Valuable understanding of stainless steel grades, metallurgy, and material properties.

- Knowledge of stainless steel long products such as bright bars, wires, bars, profiles, and precision components.

- Understanding of material selection based on strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, formability, temperature, and end-use application.

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, material specifications, and technical standards.

- Knowledge of customer industries such as automotive, engineering, fasteners, automotive components, machinery, oil & gas, industrial equipment, and general engineering will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience:

- B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production Materials

- 38 years of experience in stainless steel, specialty steel, metal products, technical sales, application engineering, product development, or technical customer support.
