- Position Overview:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management functions for fabrication projects within the Oil & Gas sector. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, fabrication components, engineered equipment, and subcontracted services while maintaining strict compliance with project specifications, quality standards,

and industry regulations.

- Key Responsibilities.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for critical equipment and materials including skids, compressor packages, U-Stamp vessel, piping spools, and other project- elated components to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply reliability.
- Build and strengthen the supply base by identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers for fabricated equipment, machined components, FRP items, and proprietary bought-out products, including engagement with approved vendor ecosystems such as EIL-approved suppliers.
- Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 buyers, providing guidance on sourcing strategies, vendor negotiations, supplier development, and procurement planning while ensuring alignment with project and organizational objectives.




- Manage procurement of select strategic categories as an individual contributor, including raw materials and engineered bought-out items such as plates, tubes, pipes, flanges, fittings, gaskets, and specialized equipment.
- Drive supplier quality and cost management initiatives, including cost analysis, fair pricing assessments, supplier performance monitoring, and implementation of Supplier Quality Engineering practices.
- Handle techno-commercial negotiations and contracting, ensuring optimal commercial terms, competitive pricing, and compliance with project and contractual requirements.
- Oversee procurement for both direct and indirect materials, ensuring timely availability to support manufacturing, project execution, and operational requirements.
- Manage import procurement activities, including vendor coordination, international sourcing, and familiarity with trade mechanisms such as advance licenses, high sea sales, and related import processes.
- Collaborate with finance and commercial teams on contract pricing mechanisms, forex exposure management, and hedging considerations where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, duties, and commercial regulations relevant to project procurement and contractual transactions.
- Leverage ERP systems (preferably SAP) for procurement planning, purchase order management, vendor tracking, and procurement analytics.
- Drive process improvements within the procurement function, focusing on efficiency, transparency, root-cause problem solving, and adherence to procurement best practices.




- Apply strong project coordination and time management skills to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously while meeting project timelines.
- Utilize strong techno-commercial understanding of the Oil & Gas / process industry supply chain to support sourcing decisions for engineered and fabricated equipment.
- Qualifications and Requirements:

B.E/ B. Tech Mechanical Engineering with experience: of 15-20 yrs. of in procurement for Oil & Gas sector especially raw material, bought outs & instrumentation also having exposure in outsourcing of fabricated structures.

- Salary Range: Up to 16-18 LPA. (Negotiable as per experience)
- Competency Requirements:
- Proven experience leading procurement teams and coordinating cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, delivery terms, and contract conditions.
- Good understanding of materials used in Oil & Gas fabrication such as carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, piping systems, and structural components. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and BOQs.
- Ability to identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Experience handling supply disruptions, logistics challenges, and vendor performance issues.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
