Job Summary:

The Primary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate mathematics lessons based on the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will help students develop strong foundational numeracy, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and mathematical thinking skills through interactive and activity-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Teach fundamental mathematical concepts such as numbers, operations, fractions, measurement, geometry, patterns, data handling, and mental mathematics.
- Use activity-based, experiential, and child-centred teaching methods to make Mathematics enjoyable and meaningful.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, activities, projects, and assessment materials.
- Develop students' numeracy, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Use real-life examples and practical activities to help students understand mathematical concepts.
- Conduct regular classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and other assessments.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify learning difficulties and provide remedial teaching and individual support where required.
- Encourage students to participate in Mathematics activities, puzzles, quizzes, competitions,



and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic progress, and student performance.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas requiring improvement.
- Collaborate with other teachers to support students' overall academic and personal development.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, and co-curricular activities.
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, and qualified standards.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics / relevant subject or an appropriate primary-teaching qualification.
- B.Ed., D.El.Ed., or equivalent teacher-training qualification as applicable to the school and recruitment requirements.
- CTET/TET qualification may be preferred or required depending on the school and applicable rules.
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics at the primary level is preferred.
