Role & responsibilities

1. Platform Purchase Lead

- Platform Purchase Lead manages purchasing for current automotive vehicle/platform development.

- Handles SoR and drawing finalization with Engineering and suppliers.

- Evaluates supplier technical capability and cost feasibility.

- Manages SBC (Should-Be Cost) and supplier quotation analysis.

- Ensures parts meet TCP/target cost and project timelines.

- Evaluates supplier capacity, investment, tooling and Capex requirements.

- Manages BOP (Bought-Out Parts) sourcing and supplier selection.

- Maintains part-wise BOM and ensures quality and cost targets.

- Drives APQP/PPAP and successful part development with suppliers.

1. Platform Costing Lead

- Platform Costing Lead (PCL)



manages costing for new automotive vehicle/platform projects.

- Supports Product Planning with cost benchmarks for business-case preparation.

- Defines part/system-wise material cost targets for the platform team.

- Provides cost feasibility inputs on SOR and drawings.

- Prepares SBC (Should-Be Costing) for parts and systems.

- Communicates SBC/ROCM costing to the sourcing/SSU team.

- Monitors and controls the overall platform material cost.

- Evaluates material cost impact of engineering changes.

- Tracks business-case material cost targets, risks and mitigation actions.
