Role Description The Placement Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, responsible for driving and coordinating student placement activities. On a daily basis, the role involves building and maintaining relationships with companies, identifying suitable job opportunities, and organizing campus recruitment drives and placement events.

Officer guides students through career planning,



resume preparation, interview readiness, and soft skills development to enhance employability. The role includes collaborating with trainers and academic staff to align training outcomes with industry requirements, maintaining placement-related records and reports, and tracking placement performance.

Officer also represents Luminar Technolab to corporate partners and supports continuous improvement of placement strategies.

Qualifications

- Robust experience in campus placement coordination, employer outreach, and organizing recruitment drives.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, recruiters, and academic teams.

- Competence in career counseling, guiding students on career paths, job readiness, and interview preparation.

- Background in training or education, including facilitation of workshops on employability, soft skills, and professional development.

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in Management, Education, or Human Resources is preferred.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate placement records, and work to defined targets and timelines.

- Knowledge of IT and emerging technology job roles and current industry hiring trends is an advantage.

- Prior experience in a training institute, college placement cell, or HR/Recruitment function is highly beneficial.
