Position: Plant HR
Job Summary The Plant HR will be responsible for managing all Human Resource and Administration functions at the plant, ensuring smooth HR operations, statutory compliance, industrial relations, employee engagement, contract labour management, liaisoning with government authorities, and supporting plant leadership in achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including manpower planning, sourcing, interviews, salary negotiation, offer release, onboarding, induction, and confirmation process.
- Maintain employee personal files, HRIS/ERP records, employee master data, and confidential HR documentation.
- Handle attendance, shift scheduling, leave management, overtime records, payroll inputs, full & final settlements, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws including Factories Act, EPF, ESI, Payment of Wages Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, Standing Orders, and Shops & Establishments Act (where applicable).
- Coordinate statutory inspections, maintain registers, prepare returns, and ensure timely renewal of licences.
- Manage industrial relations by resolving grievances, conducting counselling sessions, disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, warning letters, show-cause notices, and suspension/termination documentation.
- Monitor contract labour deployment, attendance, wage compliance, statutory compliance, and contractor documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HR MIS reports including manpower, absenteeism, attrition, overtime, recruitment status, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate employee welfare initiatives including canteen, transport, uniforms, medical check-ups, insurance,
guest house, housekeeping, security, and recreation facilities.
- Organize employee engagement activities, festival celebrations, safety awareness programmes, rewards & recognition initiatives, and training programmes.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, Finance, Safety, and Administration departments for seamless plant operations.
- Support performance management, succession planning, and training need identification.
- Handle CSR-related activities and maintain positive relationships with nearby villages and local communities.
- Perform basic liaisoning with Labour Department, Factory Inspector, PF, ESI, Pollution Control Board, Police, Revenue authorities, electricity department, and local government officials as required.
- Support plant administration including office maintenance, accommodation, travel arrangements, utility coordination, security, housekeeping, and asset management.
- Carry out any additional HR or administrative responsibilities assigned by plant management.
Qualifications
- MBA/MSW/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Plant HR within Steel, Metals, Cement, Power, Mining, Manufacturing, or Heavy Engineering industries.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP/HRMS and MS Office.
