Role & responsibilities

1. Produce and Ensure positive quality scans as per SOP and protocol
2. Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties

3. Set up examination rooms
4. Determine patients Scans needs by reading request or instructions form.
5. Write necessary commands and data into computer to document and specify scan sequences
6. Monitor patient condition and reactions, report abnormal signs to the physician/radiologist
7. Maintain records of tests performed and number of films printed
8. Assist the Radiologist while performing CT guided biopsy and other special procedures.
9. Check the images to determine if the images are satisfactory for diagnostic purpose, minimises spoilage, consults the Sr. Technologist / Sr. Technical Supervisor as and when required
10. Check the temperature of the scan rooms and to do the daily calibration machines
11. Coordinate with clinical and other admin staff as and when required to assist patients and to support the process
12. Ensure Patient care and resolution of patient complaints.
