Role Description The Overseas Education Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. The role involves guiding prospective students through the entire overseas education process, including initial counseling, shortlisting institutions and programs, and supporting application and admission procedures. The Counsellor will conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions, assess academic and career goals, and provide information on universities, courses, admission requirements, scholarships, and visa processes.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, following up with leads, coordinating with partner institutions,



and participating in seminars and events to promote GLOBAL REACH’s services. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to students and guardians.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Educational Consulting and Education-related knowledge, with the ability to understand global education systems and admission processes.

- Candidates should possess skills in Student Counseling and Career Counseling, including assessing student profiles and guiding them toward suitable academic and career pathways.

- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.

- Relevant experience in overseas education counseling, academic advising, or related fields is beneficial.

- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, psychology, or counseling is an advantage.

- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in handling documentation and deadlines.

- Comfort with using basic office software, CRM tools, and online communication platforms.

- Ability to work ethically, maintain confidentiality, and uphold a student-first approach.
