The OT Technician is responsible for assisting the surgical team during procedures, preparing the Operation Theatre, maintaining surgical instruments and equipment, and ensuring proper infection-control and safety protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled surgeries.

- Check and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, consumables, and medicines as required.

- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures.

- Maintain proper aseptic and sterile techniques throughout procedures.

- Handle, clean, disinfect, pack, and sterilize surgical instruments.

- Operate and maintain OT equipment and report any malfunction immediately.

- Ensure availability of emergency equipment and supplies in the OT.

- Maintain proper OT records, registers, and documentation.

- Assist with patient shifting and positioning before and after surgery.

- Follow hospital infection-control, biomedical waste management, and safety protocols.

- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the Operation Theatre.

- Monitor stock of OT consumables and inform the concerned department when replenishment is required.

- Assist in maintaining instrument and sterilization records.

- Coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, CSSD,



and other hospital departments as required.

- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and professional standards at all times.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent qualification.

- Relevant experience in a hospital/Operation Theatre will be preferred.

- Freshers may be considered based on hospital requirements.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of OT procedures and surgical instruments.

- Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control practices.

- Ability to work effectively in a team.

- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to remain calm and attentive during emergency situations.

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts when required.

Pay: ₹10,670.54 - ₹25,000.00 per month
