Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.

- Monitor database health, availability, performance, storage, and capacity.

- Troubleshoot database incidents including connectivity, locking, blocking, and resource-related issues.

- Analyze

AWR, ASH, SQL execution plans, and database wait events to identify and resolve performance issues.

- Configure and manage

RMAN backups and perform recovery and restore validation.

- Administer

Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and Data Guard environments.

- Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, and environment refreshes.

- Manage database users, roles, privileges, auditing, and security controls.

- Support

Oracle EBS R12.2

application and database tiers.

- Troubleshoot Concurrent Managers, Concurrent Requests, Workflow Mailer, application services, and login issues.

- Perform EBS online patching using

ADOP and manage the associated patching lifecycle.

- Perform EBS cloning and environment refreshes using

Rapid Clone and supported tools.

- Maintain EBS configuration using

AutoConfig and context files

.

- Administer EBS-related

WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server, and Forms services

.

- Support EBS upgrades, technology-stack patches, certificate renewals, and integration-related incidents.

- Lead L3 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions.

- Prepare change plans, risk assessments, validation steps, and rollback procedures.

- Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, configuration records, and shift handovers.





- Coordinate with customer and internal infrastructure, storage, network, and application teams.

- Mentor junior DBAs and identify opportunities to reduce recurring incidents.

Qualifications

- 5–10 years of relevant Oracle DBA / Oracle Apps DBA experience.

- Robust hands-on production experience with

Oracle Database 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, and 19c

.

- Strong experience supporting

Oracle EBS R12.2 as an Apps DBA

.

- Practical experience with

RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, Data Pump, and database recovery

.

- Hands-on experience with

ADOP, AutoConfig, Rapid Clone, and concurrent processing

.

- Solid troubleshooting skills across Oracle Database, EBS application services, and Linux/Unix.

- Experience with SQL tuning, performance diagnostics, and capacity management.

- Proficiency in

SQL

, working knowledge of

PL/SQL

, and shell scripting

.

- Experience working within incident, problem, and change-management processes.

- Strong customer communication and technical documentation skills.

- Willingness to participate in rotational shifts and on-call support.

- Oracle Database Administration certification is preferred.

- Experience with

Oracle Enterprise Manager is preferred.

- Exposure to

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

and database/EBS migrations is preferred.

- Experience with

TDE, database auditing, and security remediation is preferred.

- Experience supporting multiple customers in a managed-services environment is preferred.

- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
