About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and proactive Operations & Program Management Intern to support BARS initiatives, flagship events, and digital asset management. This role provides hands-on exposure to non-profit operational workflows, stakeholder coordination, program repository structuring, and large-scale road safety campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Repository & Knowledge Management:
- Build, organize, and maintain the central digital repository of documents, guidelines, presentations, and program records.
- Ensure structured archiving, version control, and quick accessibility of information for the core team and Secretariat.
- Meeting Coordination & Administrative Support:
- Coordinate internal team check-ins and external partner meetings, including calendar management and agenda distribution.
- Record detailed Minutes of Meetings (MoMs) and follow up on pending action items across stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing basic reports, documentation, and coordination decks.
- Campaign & Event Execution:
- Support the planning, logistics, and on-ground coordination for key BARS initiatives and flagship events (such as Driver Dignity Day and pan-India road safety awareness drives).
- Coordinate communications with volunteers, vendors, and external partners to ensure smooth execution under tight event timelines.
- Operational & Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to project leads and executive management.
- Assist in drafting official correspondence, meeting briefs, and updates for the Secretariat.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Communications, Public Policy, or related fields.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail with an aptitude for document organization, tracking deliverables, and structured filing.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (proficiency in Hindi is an added advantage).
- Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides) and MS Office tools.
- Work Ethic: High sense of ownership, adaptability under pressure, and enthusiasm for social impact and community initiatives.
