Skill set: 5+ years of experience in automotive exterior trim design and New Part Development (NPD). Expert in CATIA V5; familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) is a plus. Solid knowledge of GD&T;, Teamcenter PLM, and Vismockup for vehicle integration. In-depth understanding of automotive standards, safety requirements, and regulations. Proficient in plastic product design and manufacturing processes. Excellent communication skills; self-motivated and able to work independently

Domain knowledge: Strong expertise in Interior plastic product design principles, injection molding processes, material selection, and associated manufacturing constraints specific to exterior trims.

Thorough understanding of vehicle architecture, including aggregate groups, sub-groups, systems, and sub-systems, to ensure seamless product integration.

Proven ability to independently determine technical decisions in collaboration with engineering and supplier partners for design validation and release.

Experienced in conducting comprehensive benchmarking and packaging studies to define optimum trim locations and configurations on the vehicle.

Familiar with automotive safety standards and regulatory compliance affecting exterior trim design and development.





Demonstrated ability to collaborate with styling teams translating aesthetic concepts into functional, manufacturable parts.

Skilled at evaluating manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility ensuring designs are practical and aligned with supplier capabilities.

Strong problem-solving skills paired with project management discipline and effective stakeholder communication.
