Role & responsibilities

- Provide L2 support for enterprise network infrastructure.
- Configure, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.
- Configure and maintain Cisco switches and routers.
- Perform firewall policy/rule configuration and troubleshooting.
- Configure and troubleshoot NAT, VPN, routing and firewall connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switch:
- VLANs
- Access ports
- Trunk ports
- Inter-VLAN Routing
- STP/RSTP
- EtherChannel
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP and routing-related issues.
- Monitor network performance, availability and connectivity.
- Analyze firewall and network logs to identify and resolve issues.
- Handle L2 network incidents and service requests within defined SLA.
- Perform configuration changes as per approved change procedures.
- Identify and resolve recurring network issues and perform basic root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with L1 teams, internal IT teams, ISP/service providers and OEM/vendor support teams.
- Support network implementation, migration, upgrade and maintenance activities.
- Maintain network documentation, configuration records and incident reports.
- Follow incident, problem, change and escalation management processes.
- Ensure compliance with defined network security and operational procedures.

Technical Skills





Fortinet FortiGate Firewall Mandatory

Candidate should have practical hands-on experience with:

- FortiGate Firewall administration
- Firewall policy/rule configuration
- NAT configuration and troubleshooting
- Site-to-site VPN
- Remote-access VPN
- Firewall routing
- Firewall connectivity troubleshooting
- Firewall monitoring and log analysis
- Basic FortiGate security features

Candidate must have actual configuration experience and should not be limited to monitoring or ticket-based support. Cisco Switching – Mandatory

Candidate should have hands-on experience with:

- Cisco switches
- VLAN configuration
- Access and trunk port configuration
- Inter-VLAN routing
- STP/RSTP
- EtherChannel
- Basic routing configuration
