Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Test & Automation Engineer to drive end-to-end testing, automation, and validation of enterprise-grade networking solutions, with a primary focus on

Cisco SD-WAN architectures . In this role, you will design robust test strategies, build automated test frameworks using Python, PyATS, PyTest, and vTest , and validate modern enterprise switching and routing protocols.

You will also leverage AI-assisted testing tools to optimize test design, failure analysis, and automation efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- SD-WAN & Network Architecture Testing:
- Execute feature, functional, system, and regression testing on Cisco SD-WAN environments (vManage/Manager, vSmart/Controller, vBond/Validator, and Edge devices).
- Validate Management Plane, Control Plane, and Data Plane interactions across enterprise switches and routers.
- Test and verify Layer 2 (VLANs, STP, LACP) and Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Static Routing).
- Test Strategy & Execution:
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans, and detailed Test Cases based on product requirements and network topologies.
- Conduct hands-on traffic generation, protocol analysis, and performance testing using tools like IXIA, Spirent, and Wireshark .
- Perform deep-dive failure analysis and debug issues across Linux environments and network hardware.




- Network Test Automation:
- Build, scale, and maintain automated test suites using Python, PyATS, Pytest, and vTest .
- Develop automation drivers and scripts to validate network state, control flow, and feature behavior automatically.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality delivery.
- AI-Assisted Testing & Innovation:
- Leverage AI-assisted testing tools and workflows to accelerate test case generation, automate root-cause analysis, and refine code coverage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Core Experience: 3 to 12 years of hands-on experience in network feature testing and test automation.
- Availability: Immediate joiners only (15 days notice or serving notice period can be considered).
- Cisco SD-WAN Expertise: Solid architecture and troubleshooting knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN controllers, edge devices, and management software.
- Networking Fundamentals: Solid foundation in Layer 2/3 concepts , switches, routers, and enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Test Automation Frameworks: Advanced proficiency in Python automation testing with PyATS , PyTest , or vTest .
- Traffic Generators & Protocol Analyzers: Hands-on experience with IXIA, Spirent , and packet capture tools like Wireshark .
- OS & Tools: Proficient in Linux administration, shell scripting, and command-line network debugging tools.
- Testing Methodologies: Proven track record in test plan design, test execution, bug tracking, and risk analysis.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Exposure to AI-driven test augmentation, automated defect classification, or LLM-assisted script generation.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Enterprise / SD-WAN, CCIE).
- Experience with REST APIs, NETCONF, YANG, and JSON/YAML models for network management.
