Job Title:Network Engineer Firewall

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer – Firewall to manage, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure and security devices. The candidate should have robust hands-on experience with firewalls, routing, switching, VPN, network security, and incident troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls such as FortiGate, Palo Alto, Check Point, or Cisco Firepower/ASA.
- Create and manage firewall security policies, access rules, NAT/PAT, ACLs, and objects.
- Configure and troubleshoot Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs, including IPsec and SSL VPN.
- Perform firewall monitoring, health checks, log analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Handle network incidents related to connectivity, security policies, routing, and firewall traffic.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Work on LAN/WAN, VLAN, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP environments.
- Analyze network traffic using packet capture and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
- Monitor firewall and network performance and identify potential security or connectivity issues.
- Perform firewall upgrades, configuration backups, rule reviews, and security-policy changes.
- Support firewall migration, implementation, and HA configuration activities.
- Coordinate with application, server, security, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
- Follow change management, incident management, and security processes.
- Maintain network diagrams, configuration documents, and operational procedures.





Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate / Palo Alto / Check Point / Cisco ASA or Firepower.
- Firewall policy and rule configuration.
- NAT, PAT, ACL, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN.
- Routing & Switching.
- OSPF and BGP.
- VLAN, STP, trunking, EtherChannel/LACP.
- DNS and DHCP.
- Network troubleshooting and packet analysis.
- Firewall logs and traffic monitoring.
- High Availability and firewall failover concepts.

Preferred Skills

- Fortinet NSE/FCP, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with FortiManager / FortiAnalyzer or Palo Alto Panorama.
- Knowledge of network security concepts.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and ticketing tools.
- ITIL and change-management process knowledge.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related field.
- CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point certification is an advantage.
