Job Purpose The Naturalist is responsible for providing guests with engaging and educational experiences related to the resort's natural surroundings, wildlife, flora, fauna, and local environment. The role involves conducting nature walks, outdoor activities, and interpretive programs while ensuring guest safety and delivering excellent guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Nature Activities & Guest Experiences

- Conduct guided nature walks, jungle walks, bird-watching sessions, plantation walks, and other nature-based activities.
- Explain local flora, fauna, wildlife, birds, insects, trees, medicinal plants, and other interesting aspects of the ecosystem.
- Conduct activities in an informative, engaging, and guest-friendly manner.
- Interact with guests and understand their interests to provide personalized experiences.
- Encourage guests to appreciate and respect the natural environment.

2. Guest Safety

- Ensure the safety of guests during all outdoor activities.
- Brief guests about safety guidelines and precautions before starting activities.
- Carry and maintain necessary safety and first-aid equipment during outdoor activities.
- Monitor weather and environmental conditions and modify or cancel activities when required.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or unusual wildlife activity to the concerned manager immediately.

3. Environmental Awareness

- Promote responsible tourism and environmentally friendly practices among guests.
- Educate guests about wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting natural habitats.
- Ensure that guests follow resort guidelines regarding littering, noise, wildlife interaction, and environmental protection.




- Support the resort's sustainability and conservation initiatives.

4. Research & Knowledge Development

- Continuously improve knowledge of local wildlife, birds, plants, trees, insects, geography, and local culture.
- Maintain updated information about seasonal wildlife sightings and natural attractions around the resort.
- Develop interesting stories, activities, and educational content for guests.
- Maintain records of significant wildlife and bird sightings when required.

5. Coordination with Other Departments

- Coordinate with the Front Office, F&B;, Housekeeping, and other departments regarding guest activities and schedules.
- Communicate activity timings and guest requirements to the Front Office team.
- Assist the team in planning special nature-related experiences for VIPs, families, and groups.
- Support other resort activities whenever required.

6. Equipment & Activity Area

- Ensure that activity equipment, binoculars, torches, first-aid kits, and other required items are maintained properly.
- Check activity routes and locations before taking guests.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
- Ensure that activity areas are kept clean and safe.

Guest Service Responsibilities

- Maintain a friendly, professional, and approachable attitude at all times.
- Handle guest questions and requests politely and confidently.
- Collect guest feedback regarding activities and share suggestions for improvement.




- Maintain professional grooming and adhere to all resort standards and policies.
- Create memorable and educational experiences for guests.

Qualifications & Skills

- Degree/Diploma in Wildlife, Forestry, Environmental Science, Zoology, Botany, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Freshers with a strong interest in nature, wildlife, and outdoor activities may also be considered.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge or willingness to learn about local flora and fauna.
- Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and outdoor safety is an advantage.
- Good command of English; knowledge of the local language is an advantage.
- Passion for nature, wildlife, conservation, and guest interaction.

Working Conditions The Naturalist will be required to work in outdoor environments, including early mornings and evenings, depending on guest activities and wildlife programs. The position may require walking on uneven terrain and working in varying weather conditions.

Note: The Naturalist may be assigned additional duties related to guest activities and resort operations as required by management. Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
