Job Summary
We are looking for a warm, responsible, creative, and enthusiastic Mother Teacher for the Cambridge Primary section. The candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for young learners while supporting their academic, social, emotional, and overall development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate lessons as per the Cambridge curriculum.
- Use interactive, activity-based, and child-centered teaching methods.
- Develop students’ foundational skills in English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and General Awareness.
- Encourage learning through stories, rhymes, activities, games, projects, and practical experiences.
- Adapt teaching strategies according to individual learning abilities and needs.
- Maintain an appropriate balance between academic learning and play-based activities.
2. Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, disciplined, positive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Establish classroom routines and encourage students to follow them independently.
- Monitor students’ behaviour and guide them with patience and positive reinforcement.
- Ensure proper classroom organization, cleanliness, and display of learning materials.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, transitions, and other school activities.
3. Student Development
- Support the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of students.
- Encourage confidence, creativity, communication, teamwork, and independence.
- Identify students who may require additional academic or emotional support.
- Provide individual attention and appropriate support to slow learners and advanced learners.
- Develop good habits, manners, hygiene, discipline, and values among students.
4. Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct regular formative assessments to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance and development.
- Prepare worksheets, activities, assessments, and learning resources.
- Provide constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain required academic records, lesson plans, and other documentation as per school guidelines.
5. Parent Communication
- Maintain professional and positive communication with parents.
- Conduct regular communication regarding students’ academic progress, behaviour, participation, and development.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and provide appropriate feedback.
- Address parent concerns professionally and coordinate with the academic team whenever required.
6. Cambridge Curriculum Responsibilities
- Understand and implement the learning objectives and teaching approach of the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
- Encourage inquiry-based, learner-centered, and activity-based learning.
- Promote communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in curriculum planning and academic discussions.
- Follow school and Cambridge academic standards and assessment practices.
7. Co-Curricular Activities
- Participate actively in school events, celebrations, assemblies, competitions, exhibitions, field trips, and other activities.
- Organize age-appropriate classroom activities and special learning events.
- Encourage students to participate in cultural, creative, sports, and other co-curricular activities.
8. Teamwork & Professional Responsibilities
- Coordinate with coordinators, academic heads, subject teachers, and other staff members.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, workshops,
and professional development programs.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and administrative instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
- Perform other academic and school-related duties assigned by the management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education / English / Psychology / Early Childhood Education / relevant field.
- B.Ed., D.El.Ed., ECCE, Montessori, or equivalent teaching qualification will be preferred.
- Good command of English communication.
- Basic knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and child-centered teaching approaches.

Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a Mother Teacher / Primary Teacher in a reputed school.
- Experience with Cambridge / International curriculum will be an added advantage.
- Experience handling young learners and parent communication will be preferred.

- Candidates currently residing in Surat or willing to relocate to Surat may apply.
- Accommodation will not be provided by the school.
Job Type: Permanent Pay: Up to ₹21,000.00 per month
