Position Overview The Senior MEP Project Engineer is responsible for leading end-to-end execution of MEP activities across multiple industrial project sites, covering HVAC systems, gas pipeline distribution, mechanical installations, electrical & plumbing coordination, and commissioning.

The role requires strong technical expertise, site management capability, vendor coordination, and compliance with quality & safety standards.

The Senior MEP Project Engineer acts as a key technical leader on the site, ensuring timely completion of project milestones, resolving technical challenges, and managing stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution Understand detailed project execution plans and break them into actionable activities. Prepare BOQ estimates for MEP works; coordinate with stakeholders for approvals and procurement. Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor daily/weekly progress. Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, piping, electrical and plumbing systems. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays.

2. Technical Leadership & Site Management Provide technical guidance to site supervisors, technicians, and sub-contractors. Ensure installation quality as per design drawings, specifications, and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, IS codes). Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues in HVAC systems, piping layouts, valves, pumps, panels, etc. Support design team with technical inputs and site feedback for improvements. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with QA/QC processes.

3. Vendor & Material Management Coordinate with strategic vendors to ensure timely material delivery (ducts, fittings, AHUs, VRF units, electrical components, pipelines, valves, etc). Review product datasheets, technical catalogs,



and ensure compatibility with project requirements. Raise material requisitions and monitor delivery status with procurement teams.

4. Stakeholder Coordination Conduct weekly project review meetings with internal teams and subcontractors. Provide project updates, milestone status, delays, and risk alerts to project managers. Participate in client meetings, represent technical views, and support decision-making. Coordinate with civil, electrical, and fabrication teams for smooth interface of MEP works.

5. Risk, Safety & Compliance Identify potential risks in execution related to safety, material, design, or manpower availability. Implement corrective actions and escalate critical issues to management in time. Ensure strict adherence to HSE norms and promote a safe work culture on site. 6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records including installation checklists, red-marked drawings, test reports, commissioning reports, and measurement sheets. Track & report project performance focusing on turnaround time (TAT) and quality. Document variations, change orders, and maintain updated project communication logs.

7. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control Identify cost-saving opportunities in materials, installation methods, and subcontracting models. Minimize rework through proactive planning, quality control checks, and early issue resolution. Suggest process improvements to enhance execution efficiency and quality standards.
